PURPOSE:To obtain titled polymer which provides moldings having excellent creep characteristics, tensile strength, etc., by copolymerizing a vinyl chrloride monomer with a specified 1,2-polybutadiene oligomer. CONSTITUTION:Titled copolymer is obtained by copolymerizing (A) 100pts.wt. of a vinyl chloride monomer alone or a mixture thereof with a monomer copolymerizable therewith, with (B) 0.001-10pts.wt. of a 1,2-polybutadiene oligomer represented by the formula, wherein X and Y are each H, hydroxyl or carboxyl, n is 2-100 and m is 0-80, at a reaction temperature of about 20-80 deg.C, by using a polymerization process such as bulk polymerization, suspension polymerization or emulsion polymerization. Examples of the oligomer B include an epoxidized 1,2- polybutadiene oligomer (oxirane oxygen content 7.8wt%) and an acrylate-modified polybutadiene. |
