Electronic metronome providing complex rhythm pattern - uses microprocessor with programmable memories to provide two sound groups with different characteristics in alternance

The metronome for beating musical time provides groups of at least one sound in alternance, the sound characteristics for each of these groups being different. The sound is provided by a loudspeaker receiving signals from a microprocessor with at least one programmable memory. The manual programming input allows two numbers each corresponding to a respective tempo to be entered into the memory together with their relative disposition for obtaining the required rhythm. The metronome allows a complex rhythm pattern to be denoted by use of the two sound groups and its precision is retained at below 40 beats per minute. It is also easy to adjust to the precise beat frequency.
