Fold-away plate for ski sticks - is held fixed in useful position but flat against stick for easy transport

The plate (12) which is set at the lower end of the ski stick where it can be swivelled from a horizontal skiing position to a folded transport position, has on either side of the swivel axis (15) two segments (18,20) each having a centre section (22) which is inclined relative to the plane of the segment but which adjoins the chord side. These centre sections (22) are mounted on the transverse pin (14) fixed to the ski stick wherein the off-set position of the swivel axis (15) measured at right angles to the segment plane corresponds to at least half the diameter of the stick (10). The plate segments are held locked at least in their useful position on a locking collar (30) set on the stick (10) level with the pin (14).
