The arrangement is intended for machining the brake lining of a vehicle brake whilst the lining carrier is stationary and the cutting tool head rotates. A suction line extends from an inlet opening near the cutting edge of the tool and rotates with the head. This line carries the cuttings away and contains a two-part collecting chamber of which one part rotates with the head whilst the other is stationary and connects to the suction blower. The rotating part of the chamber may be arranged between the head and its drive motor whilst the motor shaft passes through the stationary part.
