Sausage skin bunching - directly on filler tube eased by water feeding cannula in groove

Gut to be used as sausage skin is pushed directly on the filler tube of a sausage machine and folded together in corrugations before the sausage meat is filled. This operation is eased by wetting the inside of the gut through a cannula which lies in a longitudinal groove of the filler tube. A swivel ring at the machine end introduces the water to the cannula. This saves the separate prior operation of folding the gut in corrugations on the mandrel of a bunching machine.
