<p>Methane gas is produced from biomass, i.e. manure, excreta, vegetable waste and algae in a 40 ft. container with a system of tubes which includes all necessary heating equipment and is heat insulated. A second 20 ft. buried container includes a central chamber for the fresh manure, an outer chamber for intermediate storage between repeated cycles, and another outer chamber for the digested sludge. Methane can be extracted from the top of the 40 ft. container. Such containers can be completely prefabricated in the maker's works and require just erection on site. They save labour in assembly and maintenance and form an extremely compact unit.</p> |
