Fish bait material - contg. cpd. generating gas on access of water and anhydrous binder

Bait, for luring fish, consists of a material contg. a cpd. (A) which generates a gas on access of water. (A) is pref. mixed with an anhydrous binder opt. contg. volatile components. (A) can be (a) Na perborate or Mg perborate, generating O2 on access of water, or (b) NaHCO3 and tartaric acid, which generate CO2. The material can also contain sand, as ballast. A pref. bait material contains, by vol., 1 part NaHCO3, 1 part tartaric acid, 1-2 parts binder and 1-2 parts sand. Gas generation is started on throwing the bait to a given place.
