Synergistic herbicide for use against perennials in rice - contains a di:thiophosphoric acid ester, 2-methylthio-4, 6-di:(ethylamino)-1,3,5-triazine and a phenoxy-butyric acid deriv.

Novel herbicide contains a dithiophosphoricacid ester of formula (I) (where R1 is Me or Et) in combination with (B) a 1,3,5-triazine deriv. of formula (II) and (C) a phenoxybutyric acid deriv. of formula (III) (where R2 is H, alkali or 1-4C alkyl). The combination is synergistic and is esp. effective against perennial weeds compared to any of the known two-component combinations of (I), (II) and (III). The 3-component herbicide is esp. used in rice crops to control weeds such as Echinochloa crus-galli Cyperus difformis, Scirpus hotarui, Sagittaria trifolia, Rotala indica and Elatine triandra.
