PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition having excellent heat stability in injection molding and excellent flame retardancy, by mixing a polyethylene terephthalate resin with glass fibers, a flame retardant, and an Sb compound having a specified mean particle diameter. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. polyethylene terephthalate resin (A) having an intrinsic viscosity [in a 50-50(wt.) phenol/tetrachloroethane mixture at 30 deg.C] of 0.5 or higher is mixed with 10-120pts.wt. glass fibers (B) surface treated if required, which will be broken into lengths ranging from 0.02 to 2mm in the composition to be obtained, 15-35pts.wt. flame retardant (C) comprising an organic halogen compound or a phosphorus compound, 1.5-10pts.wt. Sb compound (D) (e.g., Sb2O3) having a mean particle diameter of 3.5-8mum, preferably 4-7mum, and if necessary, a crystallization accelerator in an amount of 3-10pts.wt., an antioxidant, a mold release agent, a lubricant, etc. (E). |
