<p>A multi-piece sheath made from plastic profile units, form-locked by hooking on a metal support profile, with lugs on it protruding from the latter, makes up a composite unit used for making frames for windows or doors. The support profile is enclosed by two form-retentive shells made up from plastic profiles, with air chambers formed between itself and these. One shell may be force and form-locked to the support profile, while the other is clipped onto the profile, and provides retention for glazing. This is easily made and assembled and widely applicable and makes optimal use of materials qualities, using few components.</p> |
