The support surface for components forming an electric circuit is shaped like a tray, and can be made of a plastics or ceramic material. Projecting upwards inside at right angles to the base and parallel to the sides are flat strips to which components can be attached. Each strip has an open ended slot extending part of the way down it, into which can be inserted the wires on the ends of the components so that they may be soldered together. Some of the strips can be double width strips, with adjacent slots. More than one surface can carry the strips.
