<p>The valve actuating gear for IC engines has two lever-arms pivoting in the same plane involved in succession in the actuating train from cam to valve. The effective length of the first lever for transmitting actuating-force to the second is variable. The two levers (3,4) are in direct contact, both are arranged as drag-levers. The second, movable in its pivoting-plane, acts directly on the valve (2). The levers' free ends face each other and overlap. The second lever's pivot (12) is mounted in a slider (13) guided in the cylinderhead.</p> |
