A rubber slab, in three-dimensional form, is used for sealing corner areas in parts of buildings, such as where chimneys meet flat roofs. In zones close to edges, such slabs are fitted with readily deformable, but-form-resistant stiffening strips, with a firmly adhesive effect. These may be made of iron, aluminium, sinc, copper, lead or similar, and adhesively embedded in fitting grooves on the inside or outside. They are pref. 0.4-0.7 mm thick, and 10-30 mm wide, and can be sheathed in rubber. Adaptation to non-rectangular corners is improved.
|
