<p>The peripheral sand blasting unit is intended for internally blasting e.g. pipes or the like. It comprises a diverter cone (4) arranged at the annular blast outlet opening (S) at the end of a flexible hose (1). The end portion of the hose contains a spider (2) with at least three radial arms and a central axial bore (21) for a screw (3) which projects from the spider and extends through the cone (4). A disc (5) with female screw thread fits on the end (32) of the screw and secures the cone against the spider. faces of the spider in contact with the hose wall may have a saw tooth profile (25).
