ARRANGEMENT AT THE COMPRESSOR OF A UREA-SYNTHESIS PLANT

In the arrangement, gaseous excess ammonia is continuously recycled via a condenser into a pressurised reservoir vessel, from which it is passed with a certain pressure increase back to the suction side of the piston compressor operated with oil-lubricated stuffing glands, the vent line of the stuffing glands communicating indirectly, for better removal of oil traces, with the reservoir vessel via an oil separator and via the side of the condenser which receives the recycled ammonia.
