The cover (1) consists of two layers (3,4) of unequal length which are connected along three sides (6-8) whilst the fourth side (9) of the shorter layer (3) leaves an opening for insertion of a blanket (2). The projecting portion of the longer layer, together with the projecting portion (5) of the blanket can be folded back on to the shorter top layer (3). The length of the shorter top layer (3) is pref. 30 to 50 cm shorter than the blanket whilst the projecting portion of the longer bottom layer (4) is 40 to 60 cm long. The width of the opening is pref. reduced by short seams extending along the edge (9) from the sides (7,8). The blanket may have short cut-outs corresponding with these seams.
