<p>A gear pump is disclosed wherein delivery rate pulsations and consequent pressure pulsations are compensated for by providing recesses of variable cross-section in either the gear faces or on a face of the housing in the zone of the line of contact of the gear teeth. The leakage through the recesses is variable and compensates for the delivery rate pulsations.</p> |
