PURPOSE: To improve the sewing skill of each operator and to improve the productivity of a sewing machine by displaying the operation condition of the sewing machine during sewing work in an operation graph and displaying the end time of a repetitive work process shared by the operator. CONSTITUTION: After initializing a setting part, a prescribed numerical value is inputted to setting input parts 22 and 26-29 and an operation recorder 35 is turned on. When the main power source of the sewing machine 1 is turned on and the operator starts the sewing work, by turning a foot pedal on by the operator, a main shaft is rotated, the output signals of an F/V conversion circuit (sewing speed detection means) 4 are obtained and the operation graph as indicated in a diagram for instance is plotted. In the operation graph, the operation conditions when an expert operator A and an operator B inexperienced in the work respectively drive the sewing machine to which this device is mounted are compared and it is discriminated at a glance that the sewing work time of one process is faster byΔt for the operator A. The cause is that the operator B temporarily stops at a point (a) and a point (b) in the graph and also it is recognized that the operator B has the habit of stepping on the foot pedal only 'a little' at first like the point (c) and then continuing sewing.
