PURPOSE:A sticklike powder cosmetic, e.g. sticklike antiperspirant powder, having improved feeling of use, adhesion to the skin and shape retention, and containing monoclinic magnesium stearate. CONSTITUTION:A sticklike powder cosmetic, e.g. a sticklike antiperspirant powder, deodorant powder, baby powder, shaving powder or eye shadow powder, prepared by incorporating a powder base consisting of talc and kaolin and other desired constituents, e.g. a deodorant constituent such as a germicide, an antiperspirant and deodorant constituent, a perfume or coloring material, with 4wt% or more, preferably 6-12wt% monoclinic magnesium stearate, and press molding the mixture into a stick. The cosmetic can be prepared simply by pressing powdery and granular constituents, has improved shape retention and is capable of preventing the collapse of the stick during use thereof with certainty and high adhesiveness to the skin with a good feeling of use. |
