PURPOSE:To make easy the channel selection, by continuously displaying a character broadcast channel through automatic switching, and stopping the desired program. CONSTITUTION:When a selection mode key is operated with the operation key and the display section 18, the content of the buffer memory 5 in input to a pattern memory 15 or color memory 16, not based on the agreement between the program number and the program code stored in the buffer memory 5. Accordingly, the character information of the character program received is all continuously displayed. Further, with the operation of the operation key and the stop key provided on the display section 18, the decoder and the control signal generating circuit 13 stop the operation of the character broadcast detection circuit 7 and the character program comparison circuit 8 and fixedly display the character program being received at present. Thus, the channel is selected easily. |
