PURPOSE:To improve the comfortability of passengers in a driving automobile by specifying the thickness of a rubber of a tread part within a certain range and increasing the width of a belt layer to be larger than that of the ground contacting area of the tread part. CONSTITUTION:The tread rubber of a crown part 2 above the belt layer 3 within the ground contacting area W of the tread part 1 has a thickness (a). The tread rubber of a shoulder part 4 at the end 4a of the ground contacting area above the belt layer 3 has a thickness (b). These thicknesses (a) and (b) are set to satisfy the expression, b/a>0.95. The tread part 1 has a gradually reduced thickness from the intermediate part over the end 4a of the ground contacting area at the shoulder part 4. Further, the width L of the belt layer 3 is set larger than the width W of the ground contacting area of the tread part 1. It is also preferable that the depth (c) of a groove 5 near the crown part 2 and the depth (d) of a groove 6 near the end 4a of the ground contacting area at the shoulder part 4 have such a relationship as satisfies an expression, d>=c-1.6mm.. |
