PURPOSE:To improve the workability of the centering work, by providing a hole having a diameter slightly larger than the outside diameter of the optical fiber and by flowing an adhesive into this hole so that this adhesive may be protruded from the hole somewhat to form the taper part which is connected to the end part of the inside of the plug of the hole. CONSTITUTION:Hole 3b having the diameter slightly larger than the outside diameter of the optical fiber is provided in the axial direction of end face 3a of plug 3 which constitutes a receptacle as well as a light connector. Next, fluid adhesive 4 is flowed into hole 3b from both ends of hole 3b so that it may be protruded from hole 3b somewhat. Then, adhesive 4 protruded from end face 3a of plug 3 to the outside is polished to form taper part 3c, and after that, hole 3d having the diameter equal to the outside diameter of the optical fiber is provided in adhesive 4. Since the process where the taper part is formed due to surface tension in the plug of the hole of the protruded adhesive is included, the optical fiber is inserted easily into the hole provided in the next process, and the taper part can be formed easily, and the centering work is efficient. |
