PURPOSE:To enable a high speed printing and to reduce an exothermic quantity of a coil by a method wherein in a flying system dot printer, an electric power is charged to a capacitor during a conductive time to an electromagnetic coil and the power charged during a power supply interrupted from power source is utilized. CONSTITUTION:When both printing signals S1 and S2 reach an H level and signals are entered in each of transistors 40, 41, the transistors 40, 41 are turned ON, and a current IL from a power source V38 is supplied to a coil 18. At this time, a capacitor 44 is charged, simultaneously. After a constant time t1, only the printing signal S1 reaches an L level, and when the transistor 40 is turned OFF, a current due to an indactance and a current from the capacitor 44 flow through the coil 18, thus, giving a sufficient energy to the electromagnet and the armature is driven in a high speed. And further, when the printing signal S2 is raised to an L level after a constant time T2, the current in the coil 18 decreases rapidly, thus, supressin the exothermic quantity of the coil 18. |
