PURPOSE:To effectively eliminate edge effect etc. by deciding the shape and area of the images recorded from image signals, and modulating the image signals when parts of a fixed shape are contained in more than a fixed area. CONSTITUTION:It is assumed that the image of a recorder is a large-area of a square consisting of, for example, 6X6 picture elements. Since white picture elements are provided zigzag in the parts except the end parts as shown in the figure, only the shaded parts are reproduced as black and the other parts are remained white. To decide whether the specific point under recording is the picture element in the large area image and is not the end part or not with a laser beam printer, it is necessary to check the picture elements around that point [for example, the point (a)]. Thereupon, line memories for the 3rd lines are prepared, and if these are assumed to be the line memories for the line having already been written, the line now under writing and the line to be written hereafter, respectively, the decision of the black or white of the required picture element is made possible from these three line memories. |
