PURPOSE:The titled composition having improved stamping out effect against noxious of insets clothes, weak odor, an aroma full of refreshig feeling, and sublimating and diffusing properties, comprising 2-pinanol as an active ingredient of an insecticide. CONSTITUTION:A sublimating composition comprising 2-pinanol (e.g., trans- pinanol-2 shown by the formula I and/or cis-pinanol shown by the formula II) as an active ingredient of an insecticide. 2-Pinanol can be used directly in the state of a formed mixture without separating a trans deravative from a cis derivative and purification, and natural 2-pinanol as well as synthetic 2-pinanol is usable. In using the composition as an insecticide for clothes, all amount of the composition is made of 2-pynanol, or an additive is added to its, if necessary, or the composition is preferably set by a gelatinizing agent, to give tablets for use. USE:Useful as a disinfectant for toilets, etc. or deodorizing insecticide by making a 2-pinanol content not less than 80wt%. |
