PURPOSE:To cultivate a becterium belonging to the genus Thermus in a combined medium comprising a glutamate as a carbon and a nitrogen sources. CONSTITUTION:In cultivating a bacterium belonging to the genus Thermus, e.g., Thermus thermophilus, Thermus flavus, etc., in a combined medium, one comprising 0.1-5wt%, preferably 1-3wt% glutamate, especially sodium glumatmate as a carbon and nitrogen sources, and, if necessary, 0.5-5wt% maltose or sucrose is used as the carbon source. |
