The internal vessel for a hot-water tank has a number of shell portions and an integral inlet and discharge. The vessel comprises a shell portion (9) and a cover (8) welded to it along a seam (10), an overflow passage passing through them and being formed by a wall and an inner wall. These walls and a rib also form an inlet passage, there being a further rib separating the two passages. Integral with the shell are inlet and outlet unions (2,3) and a drain union, also a mounting flange (22), the latter having a flanged housing (13) with openings for mounting plates and fixing holes (12), also a flange opening (11). A surface (4) in the shell allows variation of the distance between the inlet and outlet unions.
