PURPOSE:To obtain a herbicide having expanded herbicidal spectrum and capable of controlling a wide variety of weeds at a low rate of application, by using a benzene derivative having substituent such as F, Cl or alkynyloxy and N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine, etc., as active components. CONSTITUTION:The objective herbicidal composition contains (A) a compound of formula (R is CH3 or H) and (B) one or more compounds selected from N-(phosphonomethyl)glycine, (2-amino-4-methylphosphinobutyryl)alanylalanine, homoalanin-4-yl(methyl)phosphinic acid and their salts at a weight ratio (A:B) of 1:(0.4-70). The herbicidal effect of the composition is synergistically increased compared with separate use of each component to enable the control of various broad-leaved weeds, gramineous weeds, commelinous weeds and cyperaceous weeds at a low rate of application. The content of the above composition in a herbicide is 2-80%. |
