A bakery dough dividing machine for producing dough pieces to be made into loaves of bread is of the type which uses a reciprocating piston to draw a predetermined vol. of dough into a cylinder from which the dough piece is discharged as the piston returns. A driving crank imparts an oscillatory angular motion to a main shaft to which an open-ended cylinder is fixed on a parallel axis. Cyclic movement of the shaft displaces the mouth of the cylinder between a suction position, in communication with a supply hopper outlet, and a discharge position. The same driving crank is linked to reciprocate a cross-head sleeve which slides coaxially on the main shaft. The sleeve is fixed to a piston which moves to and fro in the cylinder. The linkage between the crank and the cross-head sleeve pref. comprises a rocker bar on an intermediate pivot which is adjustable longitudinally of the rocker bar. Used for dividing a mass of dough into pieces of equal, measured vol., for making loaves of bread. Used for accurate dispensing of vols. of adjustable size. Smooth continuous operation producing high output. Simple, inexpensive construction which is easy to operate and maintain.
|
