PURPOSE:To make a weak-kneed beltlike photoreceptor hard to crease by providing a sucking method of providing braking operation by sucking the beltlike photoreceptor right in front of a transfer part with which the photoreceptor and a transfer sheet come into contact. CONSTITUTION:Beltlike photoreceptor 1 extending to the position right in front of transfer part 21 is sucked by cylindrical member 25 by suction force from small hole 26 of cylindrical member 25 and, in this state, is carried to transfer part 21. Consequently, beltlike photoreceptor 1 is applied with strong tensile force right in front of transfer part 21 and expanding force operates upon the part of photoreceptor 1 reaching transfer part 21. Thus, the photoreceptor at the position of transfer part 21 is prevented from creasing. |
