The inside (1) of bones containing the marrow is made accessible by means of a hole through which a plurality of nails (4) of resilient material are introduced, which are curved at least in the proximal region. The nails (4) set the bone under high stress in the region of the hole and there is a danger for the bone to break at that location. To remedy such problem, an insert (5) is arranged in said hole, and is provided with a tubular guide (6) for the nails. Said insert (5) protects the bone in the region of the hole and accomodates the distal ends of the nails (4). In order to prevent an undesirable shifting of the insert (5), particularly during the introduction of the nails (4), the insert (5) is provided with a clamping device. |
