PURPOSE:To keep printed letters clear all the time by providing a speed controller to alter the moving speed of thermal head according to the size of printed letter and also a concentration controller to almost equalize the concentration of printing regardless of the size of printed letter. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 4 is attached to a belt laid between pulleys 1 and 2, and the thermogenesis of the head 4 is controlled by a head driver 13. The driving of the pulley 2 (or driving for moving head bilaterally) is made by a servo motor 5 by means of a motor driver 10. The servo motor 5 is provided with a shaft encoder and the position of head is detected by the encoder and a detector 7. The motor driver is connected with a speed controller 9A by which the rotation speed of the servo motor 5 is regulated according to the size of designated printed letter. Also, the heating power source 14A of the head driver 13 is connected with a concentration controller 17 by which the value of heating power source is regulated according to the size of printed letter and the concentration of printing is made constant. |
