PURPOSE:To prevent the variation in the size of ink droplets and the speed of jet due to change in the viscosity of ink by heating ink supplied to a fixed temperature by means of a heating medium provided in an ink jet head. CONSTITUTION:An ink jet head consists of an ink supplier 11, a heat exchanger 12, a filter, and a liquid chamber 14, and these sections are connected with each other by packings 15, 16, and 17. In the heat exchanger 12, ink introduced from an ink inlet 18 is passed through plurally branched small pipes 19 surrounded by vertically provided passage pipes 20 for heating medium, on both ends of which are provided with connection parts 21a and 21b for external pipes. Then, the heating medium flows in the direction of arrows B and the ink passing through the small pipes 19 is heated by heat generated from the passage pipes 20 for the heating medium. |
