PURPOSE:To prevent an occurrence of kick-back at the engine start in a motorcycle by switching the phase of a detection signal outputted from an ignition timing detecting coil when detecting an engine start, so as to log the ignition timing. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor charging coil 3 detects the rotation of a magnet 1 embedded in a flywheel to charge a capacitor 5. On the other hand, an ignition timing detecting coil 11 detects the ignition timing to control a thyristor 10, thereby controlling a circuit including a primary coil 7 of an ignition coil 6 and the capacitor 5 to be turned on and off. Thus, a high voltage is applied to a sparking gap 9 to perform the ignition of the engine. The engine start is detected by the engine start detector, which provides a signal to turn over a switch 16 to a contact 18. Then an ignition signal (b) is generated at the secondary coil of a transformer 12. This ignition signal (b) lags the ingition timing by a time (t) compared with the ignition signal (a) which is generated in the normal operation of the engine. |
