PARISON THICKNESS CONTROLLER FOR CONTINUOUS EXTRUSION MOLDING

PURPOSE:To obtain a smooth parison with complicated setting of thickness limited in the number of setting by enabling separate switching in the setting of thickness by a parison programmer by means of a solenoid valve and a throttle valve to be used for driving a cylinder connected to the core. CONSTITUTION:A starting signal from a control panel 15 releases the self-holding of a cycle end hold comparator 11 to actuate an integrator 2 which integrates the setting output of a cycle time setting device 1 and outputs a cycle signal voltage. A thickness setting selection comparator 5 discriminates the state of the output and turns an analog SW7 on at the section corresponding to thickness setting devices 6a-6e. A certain voltage set with a weight control 9 is added to the output of an attenuator 8 with an adder 21 and the result, as a parison thickness setting signal is subtracted by the output of a linear potentiometer for detecting the core position with a subtractor 22. Depending on the polarity of the result, a comparator 10 for selecting the solenoid valve is actuated.
