PURPOSE:To obtain a novel tape measure employing an inexpensive raw material by firm adhesion of a vinyl chloride to a steel body in such a process that it is coated with the vinyl chloride by extrusion molding after a rubber based adhesive and a chloric adhesive are applied on the outer surface thereof in that order. CONSTITUTION:A rubber based adhesive 2 is initially applied on the outer surface of a stainless steel body 1 and dried by heat. Then, a chloric adhesive 3 is additionally applied on the adhesive 2 and dried by heat. Subsequently, the surface of the adhesion 11 layer is coated with a vinyl chloride 4 by extrusion molding to construct a tape measure body (a). Then, a scale 5 is given thereto to complete a tape measure. |
