<p>The cam roller, for the yarn guide's reciprocating drive, is keyed to its drive shaft to allow axial movement. It is connected in series with a second cam roller, to be engaged and disengaged, and the continuous curve gives a preset short stroke length. This is keyed to a mechanical tracer. One of the two tracers runs parallel to the rotary axis of the drive shaft, to carry the yarn guide along its reciprocating path. The second cam roller can be locked to the first roller in at least two positions, at relative angles to each other, to give a stroke length change for the movement of the yarn guide. The two rollers are secured to each other at their end faces, and their curves can be positioned to be in the same phase, or at 180 deg. to each other. The design ensures that the points of direction change do not require adjustment when there is a stroke length change.</p> |
