PURPOSE:To enable ready detection of an interlayer shortcircuit of a toroidal coil by intersecting Rogowsky coils at respective toroidal coils and detecting the difference in the magnetomotive forces between paired Rogowsky coils. CONSTITUTION:The Rogowsky coils 6a, 6b are intersected with all the unit coils 4a, 4b, 4c, 4d of toroidal magnetic field coil, and are so connected that with at least two sets as a pair may cancel the outputs of the Rogowsky coils 6a, 6b proportional to the magnetomotive force of a unit coil. When an interlayer shortcircuit, for example, occurs in the toroidal magnetic field coil 4c, there occurs a difference in the output voltage between the Rogowsky coils 6a and 6b, so that an equilibrium is broken. Consequently, a voltage of unbalanced components is detected at the output terminal. This voltage is integrated by an ingegrator 7, and an excitation power source 10 for the toroidal magnetic field coil is stopped through an amplifier 8 and a controller 9 for the excitation power supply of the toroidal magnetic coil. |
