The accelerator pedal (PA) of a vehicle intended to be used by a disabled person is hand operated by means of an apparatus comprising a portion mounted on the vehicle steering wheel (10) and leverages associated thereto, the portion mounted on the slightly modified steering wheel comprising a sheath (23) adapted to be twisted about the steering wheel axis, the torsion of sheath being transformed into the rectilinear movement necessary to operate the accelerator through two levers (12A, 12B) and a push rod. |
