PURPOSE:To provide sure and sequential ignition of an internal combustion engine, by counting synchronizing pulses generated per each turn of crankshaft in accordance with the number of cylinders and sequentially conducting switching devices with signals from a pulse counter which is reset per two turns of the crankshaft. CONSTITUTION:Two synchronizing pulses, generated per each turn of a crankshaft from a solenoid pickup 31, are applied to a pulse counter 39 through an ignition lead angle controller 38. Output of the pulse counter 39 is discriminated by a decoder 40 to put out a series of trigger signals from an amplifier 42 for determining ignition timing for each cylinder. As the trigger signals from the amplifier 41 enter gates of thyristors 43-46, the thyristors conduct one after another to produce spark in an ignition plug 21 of each cylinder. |
