PURPOSE:To facilitate the centering of a rotating tool to be machined with an indexing shaft to preferably precisely machine the rotating tool, by uniformly extending the outer circumferential of a collet. CONSTITUTION:To attach the rotating tool 23, a clamp nut 26 and a spacer 25 are removed from a clamp bar 13, and the standard hole of the rotating tool 23 to be ground is fitted on the outer circumference of the top of the collet 18 to place the rotating tool 23 on a device supporting cylinder 24. Next, when the spacer 25 and the nut 26 are fitted on the bar 13 and a lever 30 is rotated, the nut 26 is locked to the bar 13. To enlarge outwardly the outer circumference of the top of the collet 18 and to align the standard hole of the rotating tool 23 with the indexing shaft 10, a handle 22 is rotated clockwise (seen from top) to lower the collect 18 along a tapered section 7 of the stud 9, the outer circumference of the top of the collet 18 is enlarged, and therefore the centering of the rotating tool 23 to be ground with the indexing shaft 10 is completed. |
