PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily obtain a superconductor having a required shape by processing metal and/or alloy in a desired shape, and covering its surface with an oxide superconductor. CONSTITUTION:Metal and/or alloy have been pre-processed in a desired shape, and its surface is covered with an oxide superconductor. The oxide superconductor is composed of at least one or more of Ca, Sr, and Ba, at least one or more of Sc, Y, and lanthanoid, and Cu and O. The part of the oxide superconductor is required to be densified at least above 80 percent of theoretical density, and if above 80 percent is not gained, sufficient magnetic shielding effect can not be obtained. And the thickness of the layer of the oxide superconductor can be below several mum in which tunnel effect becomes as small as negligible, but above 50mum is preferable from a point of view of strength and reliability. This makes it possible to easily obtain the oxide superconductor having a desired shape. |
