<p>PURPOSE:To separate and recover iron and tin at high purity from tin plate pieces by crushing waste tin plate materials to micropieces, separating the tin plate pieces alone and electrolyzing these tin plate pieces. CONSTITUTION:Waste tin plate materials are crushed to micro pieces and the coated paint on the surfaces is removed by the impact thereof. The tin plate pieces are separated from the mixed groups of such tin plate pieces and paint powder by a sepn. means utilizing magnetic force etc. Thence, the tin plate pieces are dipped in electrolyte such as sodium hydroxide, whereby they are electrolyzed. The org. films on the tin plate surfaces are peeled by this electrolysis and the tin plates are separated to iron and tin. The tin deposited on the electrode through the electrolysis is melted and is recovered as an ingot. The iron pieces remained in the soln. are recovered in that state or after being molded to briquettes.</p> |
