PURPOSE:To make it possible to improve the reliability of data communication further by detecting the destruction of data of each element by using as a check code the sum of values a1-an of respective elements and a constant value. CONSTITUTION:A check code within a transmission unit or record unit is denoted as CCD2 and the sum of values a1-an of elements 1-(n) and a constant value (where the number (n) of respective elements is used), i.e. CCD2=a1+a2+- +an+n is used. As a result, when data having the constitution shown in the figure with regard to the transmission unit or record unit are processed, check code CCD2 is not zero since even if all elements are zero owing to malfunction of software, check code CCD2 shows the number (n) of elements, so that data destruction detection regarding whether data of each element is destroyed or not can be performed. Thus, the reliability of data transmission can be improved more. |
