PURPOSE:To classify laver sheets repidly according to the quality, by passing the dried laver sheets through a gap between the upper array of light sources and the lower array of light receptors each disposed at regular intervals, and detecting the number of the light receptors to which the light from the light source is transmitted. CONSTITUTION:A dried laver sheet 2 is supported its both side edges with a pair of narrow belt conveyors 1, and transferred through the gap 3 between an array of light sources 4 and that of the corresponding light receptors 5. The arrays are disposed in parallel, and the light sources, etc. are arranged at regular intervals in the array. The light beams 6 and 6' emitted from the adjacent light sources 4 intercross each other at the path of the laver sheet. When the laver sheet passing through the gap 3 is free of light-transmitting hole, the light receptor circuit is opened, and the detector circuit 11, the operating circuit 12 and the signal circuit 13 are inactivated to accumulate the laver sheet 2 in a box for high-quality laver sheet. When the laver sheet has a hole larger than the interval (t), the light receptors 5 detect the light beams 6 and 6', activate the circuits 9, 11, 12 and 13, count the number of the light beams 6, 6', and determine the grade of the laver sheet 2. |
