1464520 Continuous furnaces; rotating supports for charges BELOIT CORP 30 Dee 1975 [30 Dec 1974] 53114/75 Heading F4B In a parison heating oven of the kind described in Specification 1,372,304, in which the parisons P travel through the oven on supports 25 having toothed members 28 which engage stationary elements at the side of the oven housing to rotate the parisons P as they pass through the oven, the stationary members comprise a plurality of bristles 40 secured to the oven housing. The bristles may be arranged in tufts with their axes parallel to the axes of the parison holders, Fig. 2, or as a continuous band of upright bristle, or they may be arranged in tufts 240 extending perpendicular to the axes of the parison holders, Fig. 8, or as a continuous band of horizontal bristles. The bristles may be secured between twisted wires to form a generally cylindrical bristle strip, the bristle tufts are spaced according to the tooth spacing of the supports, but misalignment causes a minimum of difficulty or wear. |
