The dough hook (10) for a kitchen mixer unit comprises a shaft (11) with snap-in end (13) for insertion in the coupling bush of the unit and a hook arm (15) in the form of a bent rod. The upper end of the rod is inserted in a tubular lower end (14) of the shaft and bent together therewith to obtain a firm connection between them. The curvature so produced at the upper end of the rod is pref. three-dimensional with varying curvature radii. The shaft may be formed by turning from hexagon bar.
