A dough dividing machine is equipped with a measuring chamber containing a metering piston with an adjustable stroke which is displayed on an indicator. The desired stroke of the metering piston is set by a pushbutton operated reversible motor which drives a spindle with a friction clutch and gear. A potentiometer, coupled to the gear, feeds the indicator which is a minicomputer with a digital display. A motor drives the spindle through a friction clutch and gears. The gears actuate a potentiometer which feeds a minicomputer with a digital display. The metering piston is moved by the ejector lever, to vary the volume of the measuring chamber. A nut on the spindle limits the movement of the ejector lever in one direction, and a nut limits it in the other direction by stopping the blade lever which is linked to the ejector lever. This requires only one weighing operation to find the s.b. of the dough. The computer multiplies the volume setting with the correct factor on this basis.
|
