The installation is used for drawing off bulk goods from a container. It includes a mechanically driven worm drive unit positioned in the trough on the floor of the container. Air inlet openings (9) are positioned mainly below the worm drive (5) in the trough (4) which are connected to an air pressure supply system. The air inlet openings (9) are located distributed along the length of the worm drive, with the air inlet openings lying below the axis of the worm drive.
