<p>The device produces decorative lighting effects on textiles, clothing articles, toys, jewellry etc. It comprises a light-collecting luminescent body (3) of transparent material with an index of refraction greater than unity. This body contains fluorescent or phosphorescent particles (2), so as to collect any impinging light striking at its surfaces by photoluminescent scattering and subsequent reflection. The luminescent light (4) is then emitted with increased intensity via discharge points (5). Preferably the respective index of the transparent body material is matched to that of the luminescent particles.</p> |
